Arizona School Tax Credits Make A Difference!

Under Arizona law, a state tax credit is available for contributions to support extracurricular activities in public schools.  Student activities like band, drama, chorus, athletics, art, field trips and before and after school clubs can all benefit.  Generally, any optional, non-credit, educational activity that supplements the educational program of the schools are considered to be extracurricular and eligible for tax credit funding.

You Choose Where Your Money Goes!

As an Arizona taxpayer you have the unique opportunity to redirect a portion of your state tax dollars to support public education.  The credit allows you to contribute $200 per individual tax return or $400 per joint tax return to any school’s extra curricular program. 

You can:
- Make a general contribution to Gilbert Public Schools
- Contribute to the named school of your choice
- or support your student's specific extracurricular activities

Make a Donation through April 15 2018 and Apply to Last Year's Taxes

Remember a tax credit is different from a deductible donation because you can subtract the entire amount from your Arizona tax bill!  Changes to the law now allow taxpayers to make donations through April 15, and apply the total amount to the previous year's taxes.

Also, you don't have to have a child in a Gilbert Public School to participate - Please let friends and family know how they can support your child's education!

How To Make Your Contribution

There are two ways contribute to Gilbert Public Schools.  PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE MAKING A PAYMENT:
If you wish to make a general tax credit payment to support Gilbert Public Schools, please use the Tax Credit Donation link below:
  If you are a PARENT intending to make a tax credit payment to support your student's extracurricular activities, please use the    Parent Portal below:

For general contributions, you can also download and print the Tax Credit Donation Form.  Forms are available for:

You will then need to complete and mail it or bring it to Gilbert Public Schools Business Services, 140 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert, AZ 85296.
